File Protection ECUsafe is a program that protects program in ECU against being read
with all OBD flashers or programmers including:
- Alientech KESS, KESS2
- Dimsport Genius
- Heron Katana Flash
- all other OBD K-line or CAN flashers - original and clones.
You can write new program with any tool you want. Manufacturer’s service workshop can do all diagnosis and even write upgraded version of program into ECU. But nobody can read your work via OBD or CAN.

After reading original file from car and making chip file from it, protection using ECUsafe may be applied. Protected file may be written into ECU using your flash tool (if it calculates file checksum while writing) or you must calculate checksum in external program and then write it into ECU .
As a result file stored in ECU cannot be read anymore. Diagnosis protocols are working normally (you can do identification of ECU, diagnosis of error codes, etc etc). ECU can be re-written with any file using your tool (so factory diagnosis systems can upgrade program in ECU, if applicable). ECU cannot be read. Diagnosis protocols work normally.
All CAN and K-line reading systems will fail to read file from ECU. They can only write (and thus - overwrite your file). To re-enable reading file from ECU, it must be overwritten with non-protected file (file without ECUsafe protection).
Removing of FAP / DPFRemoving of FAP / DPF is easy ! All you need is to read original file from car and process it with proper ECUsafe module, designed to find and remove all important DPF structures automatically, without your attendance.
File can be then directly written in ECU, or it can be tuned by you and then - written into car. DPF can be removed from car, sensors left unplugged (no sensors at all) or left in the exhaust.
